In-Pub Display
A full-screen “what’s on” board for a tablet on your bar or wall. Set the defaults below — they save automatically. Choose which photos appear from the Photos panel on Pub Details.
Put it on a tablet

Scan the code with the tablet you’ll leave out (or open the link on it), then tap
Install this board on the page that opens.
It gets its own icon named after your pub, opens full-screen with no browser bars, keeps the screen
awake by itself, and keeps showing your board if the wi-fi drops.
The button has to be tapped on the tablet itself — it can’t be done from here.
On an iPad, use Share → Add to Home Screen instead.
No link to hand? On the screen itself, open clockapub.co.uk/d and pick your pub from
the list. No sign-in — the board is a public page.
Nothing but your own content
Once the board is installed — or full-screen in a browser — a Cinema button
appears along the bottom. It takes our furniture off as well: the filters down the sides, the dots, and
the whole bottom bar with your pub name, our wordmark and the QR code. Your photos and what’s on,
edge to edge, and nothing else.
Tap the screen or press Esc to bring the controls back. Swiping between cards still works.
What rotates
Categories shown by default
Which kinds of thing appear when the board loads. Visitors can still tap to narrow on the screen itself. Menu dishes are the photos you've left switched on against each item under Menus.
Cards in the rotation
How many dated things — events, fixtures, offers — cycle by default. Dish photos, awards and your pub photos stand outside this count, so the board usually shows more cards than the number here. Visitors can nudge it up or down on the screen; the board goes back to your setting a minute later.
Seconds per card
How long each card stays before sliding to the next.
Prices on dish cards
Your menu photos can show the price or just the dish. A price on a screen facing the room is a different thing from a price on the menu in someone’s hand — boards get photographed, and prices move.
Late-night kickoffs
Hide fixtures kicking off between 1–7am (e.g. overnight World Cup games) so the board only shows what you’re actually screening. Featured events always show.
Putting it on a TV
How to get it on a screen
The board is just a web page, so it runs on almost anything:
- A tablet on the bar — install it as above. Simplest.
- A TV + a cheap streaming stick (Amazon Fire TV Stick, Android TV box) running a kiosk browser such as Fully Kiosk Browser — it brings the board back up on its own after a power cut, which an installed app can’t do.
- A signage box (Yodeck, Screenly, ScreenCloud) if you run several screens and want to manage them remotely.
Type the short link above, or scan the code with the device — avoid the TV’s own browser where you can; the stick is far more reliable.
Before you buy a stick
Amazon’s newest sticks run a different operating system that can’t install the app this needs — and the box doesn’t say which one you have.

TV-safe edges
Some older TVs crop the very edges of the picture. If the board looks cut off at the sides, turn this on to add a safe margin.
Branding
Display name
The name shown at the top of the board. Leave blank to use your pub’s name (). Set it to match your website branding.
Icon label
If someone adds the board to a tablet’s home screen, this is the name under the icon. Leave blank and we shorten your display name to fit — it would read . Phones and tablets only show about 12 characters.
Pub-name font
Applies to your pub name only — the clockapub mark and the event cards always keep their house style. Pick one that matches your branding.

The portal is shaped around what you change most — today's kitchen, hours, menus and what's on — with the rest a tap away. It is the same pub, the same data and the same account; only the layout differs, and only on this browser. If you would rather have the one you had before, it is still here.

Return to your pub’s screen when idle
After a quiet spell this device goes back to the screen you land on — your photo, today’s opening and kitchen times. Nothing is lost: tap it and you are back on the same page. You can always get there by tapping your pub’s name in the top-left.
Bar & Kitchen Ops
Put a tablet behind the bar
A tablet running Bar & Kitchen Ops lets staff change today's kitchen, drinks and menu status without your account. It never signs in as you, and you can remove it from your phone at any time.
- On the tablet, open kiosk.clockapub.co.uk and add it to the home screen.
- It shows a code. Scan it with your phone, or type it under Pub Details, Tablets, and approve the tablet.
- Lock the tablet to that app: Guided Access on an iPad (Settings, Accessibility), or screen pinning on Android (Settings, Security).
Install the In-Pub Display
A screen for customers, not for staff
The board is its own app and installs from its own page, so it gets an icon named after your pub and opens full-screen. Set it up under In-Pub Display, where the QR code and link are — scan that with the tablet you’ll leave out, then tap Install this board there.

Your profile and notification preferences. These apply to your whole account — every pub you manage — not a single pub.

A photo or logo shown in the top-right of your dashboard. JPEG / PNG / WebP, 5 MB max.
Display name
Your name, used to personalise the dashboard. Optional.
Email address
Used to sign in and to receive emails. Changing it sends a confirmation link to both your old and new address — the change takes effect once you confirm.
Password
Most publicans sign in with a link we email — nothing to remember. If you'd rather type a password, set one here. The sign-in link keeps working either way.
Notifications
Weekly task email
A calm weekly summary of your open tasks — no urgency, just what's left to set up. Covers every pub you manage.
Platform news
A short weekly email about what's new on clockapub — new features, improvements and tips. You can turn it off any time.
Pub Details
Manage your pub profile, contact details, and preferences. Changes save automatically when you click away from a field.

Pub name
Your pub's display name as it appears on your card and in search results.
Previous names (optional)
If your pub has traded under another name, add it here and people searching for the old one will still find you. Separate several with commas.
Address
Street address and postcode — used for map placement and directions.
Contact details
Phone number
Customers call ahead to book or check parking — a working number significantly increases footfall.
Email address
Preferred channel for booking enquiries and large-group questions.
Website
Your pub's own site — customers who want depth follow the link.
Menu link (optional)
If you've uploaded structured menus, customers see those first — this URL gives them the original PDF or web page.

Table-booking page (OpenTable, ResDiary, DesignMyNight or your own) — customers get a "Book a table" button on the finder.

Sport on screens
Quiet pub, selective screenings, or sport always on? Customers filter for both extremes.
Dogs
Dog owners filter for welcoming pubs. Adults-only and dining-focused pubs benefit from being filterable too.
Families
Parents filter for child-welcoming pubs; customers wanting a quiet evening filter for adults-only. Without this signal, both groups have to guess.
Music
Customers filter for live-music venues and for quiet pubs. Tick everything that applies — or “No music” if you’re a quiet pub. Tick nothing and we’ll ask again.
Amenities
Atmosphere
What’s the vibe? Tick all that fit — customers look for the right feel as much as the right facilities. Anything not listed can go in “Anything else?” below.
Parking
Where can someone driving to you actually park? Tick all that apply — and if the honest answer is nowhere, save it with none ticked. That is useful too: a customer would rather know before they set off. Closing your car park for one day — a band’s van, a marquee — is a Today job, not a change here.
Takeaway
Can people take food or drinks away? Tick what you offer, or say you don’t.
Children’s play area
Parents look for somewhere the kids can run about. Tick what you have, or say there isn’t one.
Accessibility
Help everyone plan their visit — a wheelchair user, someone who can’t manage steps, a parent with a pushchair. Only you can answer these — we never fill them in for you. “No” is a useful answer too, and the box below is for what a yes or no can’t say: a portable ramp, a side door, a bell to ring, a doorway width.
